In this time of life I feel that most people are so busy and consumed with everyday life that taking time for meditation is not an option. The stress, anxiety, depression, and frustration; they can all get so overwhelming that we just simply get caught up in it all. Anxiety and depression are a huge cause of many illnesses because it will lower your natural resistance. So fighting depression and calming anxiety will help you remain healthy.
Actually a few minutes of meditation techniques or listening to meditation music gives you more time and relaxation by making your mind calmer and much more focused. By simply giving yourself ten or fifteen minutes of meditation techniques every day you can begin to reduce stress, relax and find some inner peace and balance. By using this meditation technique you can learn to transform the negative thoughts from anxiety and depression in your mind into positive ones. You can begin fighting depression and find peace in your life and settle the mind.
You can complete this meditation exercise in a sitting position, be sure to pull your back up straight, relax with your head held high, and chest upward. Set the timer on your meditation timer to a manageable time 5-15 minutes at first; choose what meditation music you would like to hear by pressing on the music notes on your meditation tool timer then press the begin button.
Now breathe in deeply and slowly exhale and relax. Repeat this three times. As you exhale on the third breath imagine all of your stresses flow out with that breath. Now close your eyes, slow your breathing down, and open your mind. Listen to the sounds of the music and let the music take you away releasing the anxiety of your day. Let all of your detractions fall away. As you begin to relax allow the light of love flow into you from the top of your head. Breathe.
Stay focused, in love, appreciation, and gratitude, for 5-10 minutes - or as long as you’re guided to.
At the end of your meditation, with your eyes still closed, inhale three times, filling your lungs to capacity and blowing it out slowly releasing all of your hidden stress, anxiety and depression. On your final exhale open your eyes.
Feel your day and begin to notice that today is a good day, you smile a bit brighter and you feel so much lighter.
(If you find that you become distracted during your meditation, take in a few deep relaxing breaths and refocus)
